How does it work?
You write from your phone. We send your words. Their replies come back to you as texts.

Fill in the form with your details and your loved one's: their name, their ID number and the facility name.
We send you one text to confirm. Reply YES and you're set. We send nothing else until you reply.
We set up your account
To send messages, you hold your own account on the messaging system your loved one's facility uses. If you don't have one yet, we walk you through it.
Then you give us written permission to send your messages through that account. The account stays yours.
You text them
Text your Lazos Familia number, the way you'd text anyone.
We send your words, exactly as you wrote them, into the facility's messaging system. We never translate or change them.
Their reply comes to you
When your loved one writes back, their message comes to your phone as a regular text.
Timing depends on the facility and its system, so we don't promise an exact time.
What you can order
Besides your messages, you can add extras to any plan. Prices are on Plans and pricing.
- Photo prints. Text us your photos and we mail them, printed.
- Cards. For birthdays, holidays or any day.
- Articles. We look up a news story or article and send it in.
- Paper letters. If you'd rather, we send your messages by mail. Just ask.
What we don't do
These rules protect your loved one and your account.
- We don't send sports picks or betting tips.
- We don't look up information about other people.
- We don't send requests for money.
- We don't send messages about other people at the facility.
- We don't pass messages between two people who are inside.
Lazos Assistant
Every plan includes the Lazos Assistant, an automated helper that always says it is automated. It answers your questions any time, checks your orders and notices, and warns you before a charge. It only talks with you, never with your loved one, and it never changes or translates your messages. Want a person? Text PERSON to your Lazos Assistant number.
If the facility pauses messages
Sometimes a facility stops messages from outside. If that happens, we pause your service and let you know by text. You aren't charged for the time it's paused.
